8vo: [22]-470-[35-1 bl.] pp. (sm. hole in marg. blank part of title and ff. D6-8; minor browning).
Contemp. blind-stamped pigskin over wood (sl. soiled, a few tiny wormholes), covers decorated with roll-stamped borders with a.o. respresentations of "Spes", "Carit[as]", "Fides" and "Pacim", spine with 4 raised bands, edges bevelled inside, metal clasps & catches. Good copy.
Rare Moretus ed. of the great Catechism of the Council of Trent, adapted for the Low Countries. First ed. 1572 by Plantin. André Lefèvre (ca. 1520-1581) was Professor of philosophy at Leuven. Woodcut mark on title.
