Contemp. calf (some min. scratches, some corners sl. rubbed), gilt orn. spines on 5 raised bands (last 4 vol. with diff. decoration on spines: unidentified initials topped with a crown), red leather title labels, red edges, marbled endpapers. Nice set.

Second edition and standard collection by Haller (1708-1777) of the courses given by the famous Leiden professor Boerhaave (1668-1738), ranging from "arteria, cor, pulmo, sanguis" (part I), over "sensus, somnus" (III), "menstrua, conceptus" (IV, 2) to "pathologia, hygiene" (VI).
