Beautifully illustr. contemporary handbook for the higher technical school in Strelitz, Germany. The young, and later expressionist sculptor, printmaker and writer Ernst Barlach (1870-1938) shows in 76 b/w technical plates how to draw human figures meant for architectural sculpting. Barlach's work was later branded "entartete Kunst" by the Nazi-regime.
