Recomposed album of 48 (of 63) engr. pl. by W. Angus, with idyllic representations of English castles, manors and country houses. Angus (1752-1821) includes charming views of Basildon House in Berkshire, Grove House in Middlesex, Lumley House in Durham, and Merton-Place in Surrey. This book took advantage of the success of the popular publ. with the same title and subject which was published between 1779 and 1786 by William Watts. The original text pages and title page are missing from this copy.
