Miniature painting on ivory/ivorine (?), ca. 12 x 17 cm, unsigned. Modern frame. Acceptable condition (some spots, two cracks of which one with an old restoration, one small missing part, minor scratches, dam. not touching the central part of the image).
Encounter between Augustus II the Strong, King of Poland (1670-1733, = Friedrich August I, Elector of Saxony) and Frederick William I, King of Prussia (1688-1740, = Elector of Brandenburg), in 1720. After a painting of Louis Silvestre in Dresden. First, Frederick William went to Dresden on invitation of Augustus II; later on, Augustus II returned the favor in Berlin.
