Contemp. calf (rubbed, label on front board), gilt spine with 5 raised bands (joints starting to split, sm. def. at head), brown leather title label, red edges.
Very rare first edition of this treatise on the location of Paradise (in Mesopotamia), by J.G. Kerkherdere (1677-1738), historian and Latin Professor at the Leuven Collegium Trilinguae. Illustrated with an engr. folding map of Paradise "Flumina Paradisi terrestris" by P.B. Bouttats.
