First French translation (1st Dutch 1703) of the travelogue of the surgeon Graaff (1639-1687). He travelled from Holland, via the Cape of Good Hope and the African coasts, to the Dutch East Indies (where he spent considerable time in the capital Batavia), but also to Japan, the Maluku Islands, etc. Ill. with 4 plates (of which 1 fold.).
