Grey ink and wash, 26,6 x 18,6 cm (visible), laid paper, signed "Christofer Schwarz / Monacho Inv(eni)t." (flattened horiz. fold, few spots, few light creases, few sm. holes, sm. tear in top left corner).

Under passe-partout and frame (verso part. visible).

Interesting sheet by Christoph Schwarz (c. 1545-1592), court painter in Munich. Design for his altarpiece in the St Andrew's Chapel of St Michael's Church in Munich, which he painted in collaboration with Alessandro Scalzi c. 1586-1590. On the verso a few sketches of the horse and seated woman from the same composition.
