1 (of 3) vol., 8vo: [16]-284 ff. (f. 121 missing, title detached, ms. note crossed out on title and ms. prov. at colophon hidden with paper stuck, sl. foxing, sl. marg. dampstaining, quire L sl. browned).
Mod. vellum, gilt-titled flat spine and date (erroneously) "MDXXII".
Very early postincunable of the 2nd volume of an edition translated by Th. Gaza (1400?-1475?), Greek humanist, containing also "De natura animalium", "De partibus animalium", "De generatione animalium" by Aristotle and "Problematum Aristotelis [...]. Problematum Alexandri Aphrodisiei [...] Theodore interprete". This volume is composed of the botanical atlas of the philosopher, colleague of Aristotle and successor as head of the Lyceum, Theophrastus, and his treatise "De causis plantarum" about i.a. plants' diseases. Printed in italics with space-guide letters.
