19th-c. gold-tooled black morocco, covers with gilt oval arms, double ruled border and corner pcs, gilt spine on 4 raised bands, gilt inside dentelles, a.e.g., marbl. endpapers. Good copy.
2nd edition (1st 1557) of a collection of Latin verses, composed by a number of friends for the wedding in 1557 of Magdalena Faust (d. 1572) and Georg Fabricius (1516-1571), rector at various Latin Schools and a prolific Neo-Latin poet. With additional epitaphs by Fabricius. It also appeared as part 4 of Fabricius’ "Roma" (VD-16 F-372). Ref. VD-16 G-1350 & F-311. - STC German (BL) 296. - Not in Adams, Oberlé. Prov.
