Dutch translation of "Histoire métallique de la République de Hollande" (first 1687), a representative collection of medals illustrating the history of the Dutch Republic, collected by the scholarly French canon Pierre Bizot (1630-1696). With an additional part on the funeral monuments for the Dutch heroes (Tromp, de Ruiter, Hein,...). Engr. ill.: frontisp., title, 123 numbered plates (first part) + 15 lettered A-P (2nd part, including 1 folding pl. titled "tombe des Princes d'Orange à Delft" by Swidde), 2 portraits of William III and Mary Stuart by D.
