Hinged at upper edge. Under passe-partout.
2nd state of the 2nd ovoid map of Flanders oriented towards the North Sea, that Mercator is said to have not only drawn, but also engraved. Extracted from the 1584 Latin "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum" (leaf 45, no pagination).
