Folio: [10 incl. front.]-157 pp.; 121 pl. (old restoration to corner of f. 2M2, marg. (damp) stains sl. affecting the maps of Antwerp and Woerden, sm. tear underlaid on map of Harlingen, occ. spotting).

Contemp., overl. vellum, flat spine (flyleaves and pastedowns renewed; sl. soiled, corners bumped).

German translation, published in the same year as the first Italian ed., of this history of the 17 Provinces by the historian and military draughtsman Gualdo Priorato (1606-1678). Ill. with an engr. front., depicting the coats of arms of the 17 Provinces, a folding map of the 17 provinces, 120 numb. double-page city plans and a large title vignette. Enriched (?) with a double-page view of the famous Battle of Solebay (June 6th, 1672), numb. 122, not mentioned in the index, but sometimes found in other copies.
