Contemp. mottled sheep, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, red edges (spines rubbed, heads of vol. 1 & 6 missing, corners bumped).

French translation, with commentary, by Louis de Carrières (1662-1717) of the Bible next to Latin text in 2 columns. Ill. with a front., engraved by D. Sornique after De Seve, a headpiece at the beginning of each volume, and 3 fold. maps (Holy Land divided among the 12 Tribes, The Exodus, the travels of St. Peter and St. Paul) engr. by G. Delahaye.
