The photographic journey of Jules Losange to Congo with the Albertville departing from Antwerp in 1928 illustrated with photos, Nels postcards and ephemera. The trip takes us through Leopoldville (now Kinshasa), the Kasai river, Elisabethville (now Lubumbashi) and its church, the governor's house, the railway and the (mining) factories, Stanleyville (now Kisangani) and its church and hotel, Kindu, Coquilhatville (now Mbandaka) and the governor's residence, palace of justice, church and botanical gardens, Matadi, Ruashi mine, etc. To mention photos of the entry of King Albert I and Queen Elisabeth in 1928 in Leopoldville for the inauguration of the monument for King Leopold II. Furthermore a portrait of Losange and his wife, photos of his trip to Katanga, an air sickness bag from that time, photos of Tenerife, the steamer Kigoma on the Congo river, lists of passengers of the Belgian ocean liner Albertville left from Antwerp on May the 1st 1928 and the Anversille left from Congo on July 24th 1930.
