Mod. blue boards, red edges. Nice copy.
First edition (enl. 1506) of a treatise on Latin versification by Jacobus Magdalius from Gouda (1468-1520). Large decorative woodcut initials. J. Magdalius probably studied in the Stein convent near Gouda and afterwards entered the Dominican Order in Haarlem. As a Dominican theologian and Latin poet he went to Cologne, where he was active until his death in 1520. Ref. VD-16 J-133. - STC German (BL). - Not in Adams.
