First edition of this photographic survey of the Kremlin. With more than 120 tipped-in photographic views and details of the Kremlin, its buildings, churches, interiors & furnishings, together with metal objects and jewelry, textiles, book bindings, clothes, enamel and glass work, armor, firearms, and royal paraphernalia. Lukomskij (1884-1952) was a curator of Tsarskoe Selo and a knowledgeable art historian specialized in Russian art and archaeology. After the Russian Revolution of 1917 he emigrated to Western Europe.
