Contemp. quarter black sheep, marbled paper boards, titled spine with raised bands, orig. wr. pres. (spine sl. rubbed, corners sl. bumped).
First edition of this rare ethnographic account of Upper Laos by E. Guillemet, doctor in the "Troupes coloniales". Ill. with 29 phototype pl., mostly of indigenous people, a folding map and in-text sheet music.
