Contemp. mottled calf, gilt-orn. spines with raised bands, red edges (corners bumped and rubbed, some scratches on covers).

Second ed. (1st 1766), but 1st 4to-format of the 1st dictionary of theoretical and general chemistry by the famous French chemist Macquer (1718-1784). Ill. with 2 vign. on title and 2 headp.
