Cont. blind-stamped calf over wood, bevelled edges, covers with biblical portraits (i.a. King David) and roll-stamps, in slipcase (front cover and flylvs loose, clasps and catches gone). Good copy.
First edition (publ. in 8vo and in folio) of one of the oldest and best documented histories of the Reformation in Europe, by the Luxemburg historian Sleidanus (1506-1556). Printed in italics. Ref.
