Map of Jamaica divided into parishes, with extensive explanation in upper right corner. Cartographic elements show sea banks, compass rose, scales and some topographical details. Below a decorative cartouche with natives or slaves gathering and processing sugar cane, in the sea a mermaid and on land slaves preparing food, a native American in feathered headdress and garments, coconut palms, and some turtles. This map is a close copy of Nicolas Visscher's map of Jamaica, Amsterdam, c. 1720.
