Important collection of Latin trsls of some basic Byzantine historical writings: those of Joannes Zonaras (12th c.), Niketas Acominatus Choniates (1155-1217), and Nicephorus Gregoras (1295-1360) trsl. by the German scholar Hieronymus Wolf (1516-1580) and that of Laonikos Chalkokondyles (1430-1470) on the rise of the Ottoman Empire trsl. by Conrad Clauser (1515-1611).
