Contemp. marbled calf, gilt-orn. spine with raised bands, red edges (rubbed, head missing, joints splitting, one wormhole in spine).
Rare first edition of the biography of St Fare (c. 595-c. 655), founder and first Abbess of the Abbey of Faremoutiers. Illustrated with 5 full-page copper-engr. by Ch. David after D. Rabel.
