Two albums of a certain missionary V.d.B. active in the Caribbean area. A lot of pictures of V.d.B., local population, fortuned families, the mission, views of localities. A series of photographs of Saint Kitts, officially the Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, an island country and microstate consisting of the two islands of Saint Kitts and Nevis, both located in the West Indies with Saint Kitts seaside, the convent and church (in 1924 and the new one in 1929), local residences, devastations after the hurricanes of 1924 and 1928, etc. Furthermore photos of Dominica, officially the Commonwealth of Dominica, an island country in the Caribbean, Trinidad and Tobago, the southernmost island country in the Caribbean, Saint-Thomas, one of the Virgin Islands in the Caribbean Sea, etc. showing a mass marriage (54 at the same time) in Siparia, carnaval in Trinidad, oil wells in Trinidad, sugar cane fields, etc. In particular also cases of elephantiasis, hindou priests, indian temples, hindou festivals, etc. We could not identify V.d.B. but other people were already identified by the ms. legends: Giacomo Moris bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Roseau in Dominica, P.
