Manuscript plan by J. Merck (1619-1669), German military surveyor who participated in operations in the Netherlands during the period 1643-1649. He also produced topographical drawings for several volumes of the series "Theatrum Europaeum" edited by Matthäus and Caspar Merian, particularly for the volume "Topographia Circuli Burgundici" covering the Netherlands, published in 1654. Leaf XLIX from an album "Festina Lente" which originally contained 124 plans of fortifications by the same, now broken up. With scale and legend.
