Collection of reports, letters, and legal documents about Jacques Ignace Van den Broucke, steward of the de Ligne properties in Hainaut, 1789-1806.

The reports and accounts by Van den Broucke were fiercely disputed by other members of the Ligne household and eventually led to legal cases with lawyers and court officials. The collection includes original reports and letters, but also transcripts or copies of letters by Louis de Ligne (1766-1813, 3rd son of Charles Joseph de Ligne, 1735-1814), letters to the Brussels lawyer Drugman etc. Apart from these financial and managerial documents the collection includes 2 interesting travel accounts: "Extrait de mon voyage de Pologne pour la succession du Prince Xavier Massalskij, frère de la Princesse Charles de Ligne, du 20 juin au 22 Xbre 1789" (8 ff.), and "Voyage de Vienne juin 1791 et retour par Carelsbadt en Bohème, du 25 juin au 3 aout" (10, 2 bl. ff.).
