Black, red and white chalk, 30,2 x 22,7 cm (visible), blue laid paper, unsigned, identifying ms. note on verso (browned, few spots).
Under passe-partout and gilt sculpted frame.
Johann Franz von der Schlichten (1725-1795) was a painter working mostly in Mannheim. He taught there at the art academy.
