Description du lot
Shijô-style, bamboo, ink and colour on paper, signature and artist’s seal: Sozan, 18,9 x 25,3 cm. Very good condition.
A pupil of Maruyama Ôshin, possibly the priest Sozan, a calligrapher, who lived at Keigan Temple in Kyôto. Trunk and leaves appear three-dimensional and lively due to the light-dark gradation of the calligraphic application of the paint.
