George Jan Hendrik ("Geo") Poggenbeek (1853-1903) was an Amsterdam painter, who is considered as a late member of the "Haagse school". He is particularly known for his Romantic landscapes.
Joined: Anonymous - Church choir in a forest. Dutch, 1809. Black, white and red chalk, charcoal, 18 x 31 cm, wove paper, dated at lower left "I-VIII-09" (laid down). Under passe-partout. (2 pcs)
