21 positive stereo glass plates for use on the Verascope Richard (not included), 4,4 x 10,7 cm. Good condition, no cracks. Amateur recordings without legendae (apart from 2). Recordings of the "Exposition coloniale internationale", a six-month colonial exhibition held in Paris in 1931 that attempted to display the diverse cultures and immense resources of France's colonial possessions. We can identify a.o. the temple of Ankor Wat, the Italian, Algerian, Portuguese, Moroccan, Syrian and Lebanese pavilions, the "Palais Afrique Occidentale Française", etc. Some general views of the exhibition and the crowd, some details of other pavilions such as a courtyard, arcades, a row of gigantic cobras, a basin, etc. 38 glass diapositives, 8 x 8 cm. Good condition (one plate broken). Recordings of a journey in Asia depicting Buddhas, temples, native people, elephants, etc.
