Limited edition of 116 copies (n. 49 for M. Harry Schleisinger) printed at the Eragny Press in Brook type on Arches paper with watermarks of "Le Livre contemporain". Ill. with 12 full-page colour wood-engr. drawn by Camille Pissarro and engraved by Lucien Pissarro. In addition, there are numerous wood-engraved vignettes, initials and the title-page border in three colours by L. Pissarro. Most of the blocks were cut and proofed by Camille before his death in 1903. Lucien was trained by his father and together with his wife, Esther, learned the arts of printing and book design from Charles Ricketts. The early books from Pissarro's Eragny Press were printed with type supplied by Ricketts. This book, the penultimate from the Press, is printed in a typeface designed by Lucien Pissarro. "La charrue d'érable" or "The maplewood plough" comprises 12 short chapters on a rural theme written by E. Mossely.
