Revised ed. (orig. 1618) of the 1st work of the Brussels mayor and politician F. van Marselaer (1584-1670), dedicated to Philip IV of Spain. It is a treatise on the duties of ambassadors and on the art of diplomacy in early modern Europe. Nice allegorical engr. title by C. Galle after Th. van Loon. Woodcut mark at the end.
