Wooden spindle black base and liftable cardboard cylinder with cuts vertically in the sides (some sm. def., some chips of cardboard missing, some tears, but not affecting the motion mechanism), 10 replaceable picture strips with images from a set of sequenced pictures with legend in Czech and German "Zur Stadt Paris in Prag, Zeltnergasse No. 15. Serie 20. No. 12."

Later version of the zoetrope introduced in 1833 with Simon Stampfer's invention of the phénakistiscope animation disc. The zoetrope is basically the cylindrical variation of the phénakisticope. By spinning the cylinder the user can look through the cuts of the pictures across. The viewer sees a rapid succession of images, producing the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of drawings. Together with 10 replaceable paper strips of which 6 with the same legend originating from the same series. A.o. a man eaten up by a fish, a man with a big mouth singing, dancing acrobats, a jumping frog, a playing monkey, etc.
