Etching, in sterling silver, 37,5 x 56,5 cm (visible), 24-carat gold decorations (sm. defects).
Original wooden frame with velvet inlay (not studied outside frame).
A sumptuous sterling silver map of present-day Belgium, drawn in the style of Mercator, with his portrait and the coats of arms of the nine provinces. Published on occasion of the centenary of the Belgian Royal Geographical Society.
