Contemp. calf, gilt spines with 5 raised bands (sl. rubbed, hinges sl. weakening).

First French ed., translated by Jean Hellot, of this "prachtvolles Werk der Hütten - und Probierkunde" by Christoph Andreas Schlüter (or Schlutter), first published in 1738. Engr. front. and 58 folding, engr. pl. by Benoît Audran (1698-1772). Title printed in red and black.
