Engr. ill.: allegorical title by Willem de Haen after Petrus de Jode, author's portrait and 19 full-page portrait medallions of Emperor Charles, Philip II, Margaret of Austria, Alexander Farnese, Albert and Isabella, etc., in large Renaissance style cartouches. Enriched with 1 extra full-page portrait of Charles Bonaventure de Longueval, signed P. de Jode (1623), not in the list of plates. Printed in 2 col.
