Engraving, 20,5 x 31,6 cm, laid paper with watermark (crowned shield), signed and dated at bottom right: "Lambertus / Suavius. / .1544.", Latin text at top right (trimmed outside platemark, few sm. or light stains, 2 holes on lower edge, traces of former mount on verso).

Hinged at upper edges, under passe-partout.

One of the largest prints in the oeuvre of Lambert Suavius (ca. 1510-1567). 1st state before the plate was re-engraved and cut down.
