Under the miniature in calligraphy 2 quotes of the Bible pertinent for St Therese. The miniature is surrounded by a fine goldheightened architectural border and a framework of very fine goldheightened flowers. St. Therese of Lisieux, also known as St. Therese of the Child Jesus was a French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun widely venerated in modern times.
