12mo: [24 incl. engr. title]-527 pp. (sl. dampstaining, occ. soiling, sm. wormtrack or wormhole in lower margin).
Contemp. calf, central gilt medallion fig. the Crucifixion on covers ruled with blind and gilt fillets orn. with angular fleurons, gilt-orn. flat spine, a.e.g. (rubbed, joints split, head missing and reinforced with tape, ties missing).
First edition illustrated with an engr. title and 22 nice emblematic copper-engr. full-pages, variously ascribed to Th. Galle or Adriaen Collaert. Largely a translation of "Den geestelijcken rooselaer" published in 1614. By the Dominican Heinsberch (d. 1634), Vicar of Lier, Director of the Dominican sisters of Val-Duchesse.
