Etching, 15,0 x 11,2 cm, laid paper, signed and dated at bottom left: "Rembrandt f 1642" (sl. browned unevenly, 2 sm. tears at top not affecting plate, traces of former mount on verso).

Wide margins.

Christ at left raising Lazarus from his tomb at lower right. From the original plate etched by Rembrandt in 1642. Later impression of the 2nd state with shades added to Lazarus's forehead, possibly by Claude-Henri Watelet (1718-1786).
