Copperplate, 27,4 x 17,6 cm, signature and address at bottom: "Petrus de Iode Sculptor Antverpianus. Cum Privilegio.", Latin text in lower margin (few light scratches, spot on forehead).

Good condition. The lines are inked to appreciate the portrait and text.

Previously unrecorded copperplate by the successful portrait engraver Pieter de Jode II (ca. 1606-1670). Portrait of François van Kinschot (1577-1651), Lord of Rivieren, Jette, Ganshoren, and Chancellor of Philip IV. Dedicated by the engraver to the sitter. Impressions of this plate are i.a. in Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Vienna.
