First edition of this short but influential text by the Italian humanist F. Beroaldo the Elder (1453-1505), professor of rhetoric and poetry in Paris and Bologna. The author recounts the story of three brothers; a libertine, a drunkard and a gambler. Each one defends himself against the other two with classical and Christian literary references.
