18th-c. sheep, elabor. gilt flat spine with monogr. "P" at tail (sm. def. at head), red polished edges. Good copy.

Early edition of this didactic poem on agriculture by Luigi Alamanni (1495-1556), followed by the poem on bees by Giovanni Rucellai, written in Rome 1524, and published in 1539, with "Brevi annotationi sopra le ape" by Roberto Titi (pp. 253-280).
