Rare brochure, and supplement to the observations made by De Beunie, on the risk when having the imprudence of eating raw mussels during the months April and September. After the explanation of two cases of eating uncooked mussels Du Rondeau mentions some evidence which obviously demonstrates that this shell is no less dangerous after having passed through the fire than before. He gives also some remedies to calm all the unpleasant and unbearable symptoms after eating bad mussels. A mixture of vinegar and water to blunt the activity of poisonous mussels. "Je fais deshabiller le malade, & je le fais laver depuis les pieds jusqu'à la tête avec ce mélange pendant une demi-heure".
