Latin and French manuscript on vellum, c. 18,5 x 13,5 cm, ruled writing area 10,5 x 6,5 cm, [97 (of ?)] ff., numbered [12]-XLIV-[50] (incl. blank f. XII; lacking i.a. ff. V, XIII, XXIII, XXXII-XXXIV, XXXVI-XXXVII, XLII-XLIII and some unnumbered ff.; marginal staining, some thumbing and traces of use).
Old gilt calf, central oval ill. (Crucifixion) on covers, spine on 4 raised bands, red edges, red and blue silk markers (somewhat worn and rubbed, loosening, joints starting to split, head and tail def., gilding fading, front flyleaf loose). In reasonably good condition, incomplete, s.w.a.f.
Incomplete and somewhat used Latin Missal and/or prayer book, starting with the Pater Noster, Ave Maria, the prayers of the Mass (incl. Sanctus, Agnus Dei), extracts from the Gospels, various prayers and litanies. On f. IV verso the beginning of a prayer in French (rest missing). 2 ff. from a printed 8vo Missal bound between ff. [27-28]. Most probably France, c. 1500. The Calendar has S. Martinus, S. Laurentius and S. Stephanus (twice) in red, and a marginal addition of Leodegarius (in October). Decoration: numerous 2-line, 1-line initials and "line-fillers" in blue or red with gold. Prov. Hard to read names on covers "Françoyse" (front) and "Moureau" [?] (lower cover).
