Very rare first edition of this work on hunting by Goury de Champgrand (1732-1799). Illustrated with 2 engr. front., one for each part, and 37 numb. engr. pl., some fold. First part dealing with all aspects of hunting, while the second contains an important section on falconry. "C'est à peu près le seul ouvrage cynégétique illustre qui ait été publié en France au XVIIIe siècle; il est assez recherché pour cette raison" (Thiébaud). Approbation leaf at the end.
