Very rare enlarged 2nd edition (1st: Amsterdam, F. de Wit, 1665) of P. Post's architectural work consisting of 8 parts, each with special title, separate paging and plate numbering. The complete collection is illustrated with an engr. title, a dedication lf., a large folding portrait of John Maurice, Prince of Nassau-Siegen, in oval frame with coats of arms and armour, engraved by Cornelis van Dalen (II) after Govert Flinck and has an index of the architectural works of Pieter Post following "L'imprimeur au lecteur". Post, credited with the creation of the Dutch baroque style of architecture, was the court architect of Stadtholder Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange and Amalia of Solms-Braunfels.
