First voyage is illustrated with a frontispiece and 19 plates (7 fold.); 2nd voyage complete with the often missing large fold. map of South Africa and 22 plates (5 fold., incl. the pl. Vbis, VIIIbis and the two XIbis) representing natives, fauna and flora and views. First voyage contains a glossary with words in French and their translations in Dutch and Hottentot.
