16th-c. blind-stamped calf, covers with central acorn panel stamp (Flanders ?), gilt-titled spine on 3 raised bands, mod. decorative endpapers (rubbed, corners bumped, rebacked, catches and clasps gone). Good copy.

Extr. rare Antwerp ed. of one of the earliest apologies for the Christian faith, by Vincent of Lérins (d. 450). Pt. 2 contains the objections of the Cologne theologians against the views of the German Reformer Martin Bucer (1491-1551). Ref. Pettegree NB 30802. - Not in BT, Adams, BCNI, STC Dutch (BL).
