Description du lot
Daguerreotype, 7 x 9,3 cm.
Under passe-partout, in a stucco black sculpted frame (def. to two corners, traces of use, verso reinforced).
Payoit was "pharmacien des hospices de Mons". Jacques Barboni was an optician and part of the photographer's convoy with L.P.T. Dubois de Nehaut which recorded the Silver Jubilee celebrations of King Leopold I in 1856. His son Adrien became a partner in the studio around 1850. Jacques gave up the business on his son's death in 1866.
